That is Aryn sitting on her little potty playing Mario on the Nintendo DS.When she is older she might kill me for posting that photo, but I couldn't resist... it's just TOO cute! HAHA!
So we are trying a different approach to this potty training bit (yes I saw this on Jon and Kate plus 8... don't judge me).
I am letting her sit on the potty until she goes for how ever long it has to take, then we get a sticker for her chart, that sits next to her potty, and after 5 stickers she gets to pick out a toy at the dollar store! That last part is something that my brother actually encouraged, and so far I am proud to say she just got sticker number five! YAY!
Actually what's funny about this, is that in the middle of posting this I had her watching her tinker bell movie on the portable DVD player in her bathroom while sitting on her potty and she announced that she went tinkle and was SOO excited! It took about an hour, but she did it, and it's been great success!
It's still slow going, but we finally found something that might work. So wish us luck. It may take another 6 months, but I don't care... as long as she finds something that encourages her while she sits on her potty I am all for it!
